German Week @ Steinway Gallery Singapore 2025

Students of Ministerium Fur Musik

On October 3, 2025, Renée Chong and Tantai Klinsong had the privilege of performing for their guests at Steinway Gallery Singapore in Ion Orchard. We extend our gratitude to Steinway for providing this opportunity to showcase on the B-211 piano equipped with Spirio technology. Both performers and audience members were captivated by Spirio's recording, playback, and editing capabilities, which maintain the instrument's tonal excellence at the highest level. It represents a remarkable achievement in acoustic artistry.

Renée Chong
BEETHOVEN - Sonata in G major Mov 1, Opus 14 No. 2
GLINKA - The Lark

Speaking first in English and then in German, Renée welcomed her audience before performing an early Beethoven work—charming, elegant, and prelude-like in its Allegro spirit.

The afternoon's crown jewel was The Lark, Mikhail Glinka's Russian romantic composition, which Mili Balakirev reimagined as a spectacular virtuosic piano transcription inspired by Liszt's style, transforming the melancholic melody into pianistic fireworks.

Tantai Klinsong
CHOPIN - Waltz in D-flat major, Op. 64, No. 1

Tantai performing the famous Minute Waltz by Chopin who was inspired by a little dog "Petit Chien" playing. This piece is the first of the three waltz written in 1847 dedicated to his former Parisian piano student.
